A beautiful midnight dream takes place when navy blue gowns hit the runway.

This spring season, we saw navy blue gowns pouring out onto the catwalk creating a trend that will continue on through this holiday season as well.

Navy blue gowns have been brought to real life on the red carpet as well!

The American Music Awards had our favorite musicians hitting the red carpet in their favorite (or their stylist’s favorite) dresses and getups.

Here are some of our hand-picked #1’s:
California girl Katy Perry left the corsets at home and showed up in a surprisingly chic Badgley Mischka dress.
We love it!

America’s sweetheart Taylor Swift in Collette Dinnigan.

Rihanna in Elie Saab Haute Couture

Straight from the runway, Miley Cyrus wore a beautiful dress from the Marchesa collection for Spring 2011.

Fabulous to the 1093489th degree!
I can’t wait to see what the next round of award shows will bring.

Last night, the 2010 American Music Awards were held at the Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles.

The crowds were swarming with anticipated fans hoping to just catch a glimpse of the hottest musicians today such as Justin Beiber, Usher and Katy Perry!

But of course, nothing beats checking who wore what on the red carpet.
Last night, some stars brought the fashion forward while others truly made me just wonder… why?

Here’s part 1 of our red carpet watch:

Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas in a feathery number by Falguni & Shane Peacock

Critics have already ripped this dress apart, but I say, if you can rock it, why not?
And with Fergie being on the hottest hip-hop/pop band in town, I can hardly critique her rock ‘n’ roll fashion.

Singer Avril Lavigne in a ska-like punk dress that honestly, only Avril would look appropriate in.
The dress is designed by Dolce & Gabbana.

The “triple threat” Julianne Hough who can successfully sing, dance and act, showed up to the American Music Awards in a L’Wren Scott gown from their Fall 2009 Collection.

Now one of last night’s puzzling Lady Gaga-like numbers:

Singer Ke$ha in an interesting choice.

More updates on the music fashion to come!

Fashionably yours,
Val Haute

Every year, the women’s magazine Glamour honors athletes and actresses who have been present in the media this year.

This year, the magazine held this event in New York City in Carnegie Hall.

Here’s some fabulous fashion from the red carpet event!

Queen Rania of Jordan in an astrological gown by Halston

Janet Jackson in Donatella Versace

Siren Kate Hudson in a sparkling gold gown by Lanvin

Doesn’t Kate look amazing in just about everything she wears?
My goodness.

Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank in Versace

And my favorite of the night:
Fergie looking fergalicious in a hot red Zac Posen number

Take a look at the shoes too!
These women are recognized for their exceptional talent and skill in the sports and acting arena.
But I must admit, they ought to be awarded for their fabulous sense of style as well!

Fashionably yours,
Val Haute
